New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson is a happily married man.
Henderson, 23, confirmed the news in an interview on “The Walk” podcast, where he explained how his relationship developed alongside his faith.
“We got married. We made it official,” he said on the Tuesday, February 3 episode. “We got engaged first and then we eloped and made it official.”
He continued, “One thing that I was really holding onto was sexual immorality early in my faith, and I remember just waking up one day and reaching a point on my walk with the Lord where it was like, ‘choose whom today you will serve.’”

Henderson first announced that he was engaged to his girlfriend, whose name has not been revealed, via Instagram in September 2025.
“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” Proverbs 31:30 💍,” he wrote alongside a photo of him and his fiancée standing in front of lit-up block letters that appeared to say “Marry Me.” Red rose petals were scattered on the ground in front of them as his fiancée held her ring up for the camera.
Henderson added on the podcast that as his faith deepened, he gave his then-girlfriend the choice of either breaking up or “tagging along,” which she ultimately decided to do.
“The Lord, he delivered us. He set us free from sexual immorality,” he said. “He kept us pure for a couple years until we got married. Growing as a husband and learning the beauty of marriage…The Lord, he’s still working on my heart. It’s been great though being married so far. It’s been great.”

Henderson is in his rookie season with the Patriots after New England took him in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. As a rookie for the Patriots, he started four games and appeared in 17, rushing for 911 yards and nine touchdowns.
He is also a year removed from winning a national championship with The Ohio State University. As he vies for his second championship in just over a year, he told reporters that he respects his upcoming opponent, the Seattle Seahawks.
“They have a great team. Honestly, they’re here for a reason,” he told the media on Tuesday. “They have a great defense. It’s going to be a great matchup and we look forward to going up against them.”
Henderson added that he has the utmost confidence in Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who is attempting to win his first Super Bowl at just 23 years old.
“Quarterback is, I believe, the hardest position to play and he’s done such a great job of leading this offense, leading this team and being a vocal leader,” Henderson said. “Most of all, [he leads] by example with the work that he puts in each and every day. When he comes to practice, he’s always looking to get better and push the guys around him to get better as well.”
The Patriots and Seahawks will square off in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
