Channing Tatum shared a major life update with fans from his hospital bed.

“Just another day. Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard,” the 45-year-old actor captioned a black-and-white Instagram photo on Wednesday, February 4. “But whatever. Let’s get it in.”

Tatum offered a closer look at his injury via Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of X-rays and revealing that he had a “separated shoulder.” In the image, one of Tatum’s bones appeared to be fractured. In another Instagram Story image on Wednesday morning, Tatum confirmed that the injury had been repaired.

“Screwed shoulder,” he captioned the second X-ray image. “Yay.”

Tatum did not reveal further details about his injury, but he received supportive comments from his famous friends ahead of the surgery.

Fellow actor LaKeith Stanfield offered a red heart emoji, while Tatum’s model girlfriend, Inka Williams, left a sweet message.

“Big bad wolf,” she wrote. “We got disss.”

Williams, 26, and Tatum went public months after Tatum split from Zoë Kravitz in October 2024. A source told Us Weekly in March 2025 that Tatum and Williams were “having fun” together.

“Channing is very interested in Inka, but is trying to take it easy,” the insider said at the time. “He doesn’t want a serious relationship right now. Channing likes her fun and spirited personality.”

The pair have since taken their public romance to new heights, often stepping out together and packing on the PDA. The couple shared a sweet kiss while at the London Film Festival in October 2025, and they’ve even made a few rare appearances on each other’s Instagram profiles.

Williams appeared to be by Tatum’s side for more than one injury this past year.

Tatum disclosed during a September 2025 interview with Variety that he got hurt on the set of Avengers: Doomsday. The publication noted that Tatum had “a bum leg” early on in the profile.

“We’d probably be bowling or something if I wasn’t like this,” Tatum said at the time. It was reported that he showed up for the interview with “a limp.”

Tatum is set to appear in the highly anticipated Marvel movie as Remy LeBeau/Gambit. He had a “big fight” scene with Robert Downey Jr., who will make his Marvel return as Doctor Doom, but the injury put Tatum on the sidelines.

“We had tons more shooting,” Tatum said, but the injury was bad enough that he needed pain medication for it. Tatum said he took a break from the pills ahead of that Variety interview, “so I wouldn’t be falling asleep on you and drooling. My body doesn’t do well with codeine — and those painkillers the U.K. docs gave me were strong.”

However, the pain is no match for Tatum’s drive. The actor admitted he just hates “getting old.”

“It’s not about the pain I feel in the moment. It’s knowing I can’t take this back. And now I know what the next six months of my life will be like,” he explained. “In my mind, I’m literally still 30 years old — 26, if I’m honest.”
