The 2026 Grammy Awards is paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne six months after his death.

Slash and Post Malone took the stage during the Sunday, February 1, awards show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles by performing Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” as a black-and-white photo of Ozzy was displayed in the background.

The camera panned to Ozzy’s widow, Sharon Osbourne, and kids Kelly and Jack who watched from the audience. At the end of the song, Kelly was seen getting emotional while placing her hands over her mouth as Sharon and Jack clapped.

One day before Ozzy was honored at the awards show, Sharon, Kelly and Jack stepped out at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party.

The group posed for photos at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, with Jack, 40, standing between Sharon, 73, and Kelly, 41, and placing his arms around them. (Sharon and Ozzy also shared daughter Aimee, 42. Additionally, he was a dad to three older kids from a previous relationship.)

Inside the event, MGK and Jelly Roll performed a tribute to Ozzy’s songs “I Don’t Wanna Stop” and “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” per Variety.

“Rest in peace to the Prince of Darkness … to a great husband, a great father, a great musician … Ozzy Osbourne!” Jelly Roll, 41, said at the end of the performance on Saturday, January 31. He went on to walk off stage and receive a hug from Sharon.

Yungblood, meanwhile, shared that he was with Sharon on Saturday and lit a candle for Ozzy.

Us Weekly confirmed in July 2025 that Ozzy died after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 76.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family said in a statement to Us at the time. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

He died from cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease, according to a death certificate released in August 2025.

Weeks before his death, Ozzy took the stage for the last time with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England. Friend Tom Morello, who worked on Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning farewell gig, later shared that the rocker was aware he was near the end of his life at the time of the performance.

Morello told Chicago’s Q101 radio station that Ozzy was “frail” leading up to his death.
“The fact he lived to play and feel that love one more time, to do ‘Paranoid,’ to do ‘Crazy Train.’ If you have got to go — and I wish Ozzy lived another 30 years — if you’ve got to go out … it felt like he knew,” Morello said on the radio show in August 2025.

Morello went on to note that Ozzy’s death was “tragic,” adding, “Ozzy Osbourne had lived on the edge for such a long time; the fact he lived as long as he did was a miracle.”

Jason Momoa, who hosted Black Sabbath’s final gig, later recalled the moment on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month.

“I had to host for them,” Momoa explained. “He’s like a God to me. It was unbelievable, yeah. I loved him. Then, sadly, he passed like a couple of weeks later.”
