Kathryn Hahn’s 2026 is gearing up to be a busy one but The Studio star didn’t expect her year to be full of football talk.
“I never would have thought that I would be involved in football in 2026 in a couple of major ways,” Hahn, 52, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her partnership with OIKOS for their Big Game ad spot. “That is definitely something I did not plan on happening. I’m really excited.”
Hahn is, obviously, referring to her the commercial — which has her teaming up with Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry — but also her upcoming appearance in the Madden movie. Prime Video debuted a teaser trailer for the film late last year and offered fans a first look at an unrecognizable Nicolas Cage in the titular role of late football coach and commentator John Madden.
“My only experience of Nicolas Cage is as Madden,” Hahn, who will appear as Virginia Madden, told Us. “It’s a weird trip. The only way I ever saw him was in character.”

Because the “amazing transformational makeup” looked so good, Hahn admitted she forgot what Cage looked like “without it.”
Hahn is also gearing up for season 2 of AppleTV’s The Studio, which is having a major run this awards season. The comedian stars as Continental Studios marketing exec Maya Mason, who is known for her rather iconic fashion choices.
Hahn previously joked that she wants Maya to make her onscreen return with an “unexplained” butt implant — a wish she doubled down on with Us.
“All of a sudden, you see her walk down a hallway, and you’re like, ‘Whoa,’” the actress said. Hahn also explained how Maya’s wardrobe, especially the Burberry sports bra from episode 7, helped mold the character.

“She just would not even exist if it wasn’t for those clothes,” Hahn said, revealing that Maya was “originally written as a little more of an antagonist” to Matt Remick (Seth Rogen).
“She was written a little more dry, [wearing] good suits. When we started talking, and this started to open up, it felt very freeing. When I had that first costume fitting, and I could see all of the brands put together — so many labels — it helped so much,” Hahn continued. “That’s where she lives, really is in those clothes and that hair and those nails and that makeup. You already feel like you’re such an avatar walking onto the set with all this on, that it helped.”
The Studio, which offers a satirical look at the ins and outs of Hollywood, became an immediate hit after its March 2025 premiere. The show has already been renewed for a second season, and there’s not much Hahn can say about it — other than she wants a Gwyneth Paltrow cameo.
“I feel like a lot of my dreams are about to come true this season,” she teased when asked if there are any good famous guest stars on the horizon. Hahn also hinted at The Studio “moving around the globe” during season 2.
While fans are waiting to see what Maya and The Studio gang are up to next, they can watch Hahn show off her football skills in the OIKOS Big Game ad spot.
“Where we shot it was so extraordinary and beautiful. We were literally on top of this hill that looked down onto the [Golden Gate] Bridge. It was the most stunning day,” Hahn gushed, adding that it was “not a bad day at work” to throw around an OIKOS Protein Shake with NFL player Henry.
“It was still not easy for me, but I was very proud that I got him. Most of the time I was able to catch it,” Hahn said of her heroic moment in the commercial. “I’m really proud of myself. It was not many [takes]. I think, maybe, I missed one or two. Listen, I was showing off in front of a pretty famous NFL star.”

Being able to taste the product on set helped too.
“I really dig this product. They taste delish. They have as much protein as you could possibly imagine in one small bottle. It’s 30 grams,” she said. “As a mom, that’s what I want. Like. It’s very easy in the morning to make sure these teenagers grab one and go, because I can’t make them anything else anymore that they would eat.”
And it’s not lost on Hahn that she’s joining the Hall of Fame when it comes to celebrity yogurt brand spokespeople.
“I’m very proud to join the ranks,” the actress said.
