Netflix’s newest hit Finding Her Edge has fans divided about the ending but united in spotting several onscreen editing mistakes.
The series premiered on Thursday, January 22, and introduced Us to competitive ice skater Adriana (Madelyn Keys), who returns with new partner Brayden (Cale Ambrozic) while still sorting through her complicated feelings for former partner — and ex-boyfriend — Freddie (Olly Atkins).
While some viewers were invested in the love triangle at the center of the show, others were too distracted by a scene in the pilot where a boom mic could be seen on screen. (The error appears to have since been corrected in the version currently streaming on Netflix.)
“Hah came to TikTok to see if anyone posted about the microphone because I caught it!” wrote a social media user while someone else added, “I thought I was seeing stuffff.”
TV and Film Mistakes Spotted on Social Media
Other fans, meanwhile, pointed out several other mistakes including a moment where Atkins appeared to break the fourth wall inadvertently. “He was looking into my eyes,” read a comment alongside a screengrab from the scene.
There also appeared to be several occasions that Keys and Ambrozic’s stunt doubles were visibly seen filling in for them in ice skating scenes.

“The stunt double bro thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, I had to rewind,” an audience member replied while another admitted they didn’t notice the issue, adding, “IM SO BLIND. I NEVER NOTICED THIS OR THEIR STUNT DOUBLES. IM COOKED YALL.”
Finding Her Edge inspired a wide variety of reactions after keeping viewers on the edge of their seats about Adriana’s future. The eight-episode series ended with Adriana and Brayden competing against Freddie and Riley (Millie Davis) at the World Championships. Adriana and Brayden were the winners with a score of 98.36 — but things quickly fell apart after that.

Adriana chose to get back together with Freddie after faking a romance with Brayden, which left many fans frustrated. Season 2, while not officially picked up by Netflix, would follow the aftermath — including Brayden partnering with Riley following his falling out with Adriana.

“I’m really excited that, at least in that last scene, Riley doesn’t even say anything, but you can see it in her eyes. There is some tension between her and Adriana too,” Keys teased to Collider earlier this month. “I think that is good, and that is what she deserves, as a character. I hope that Adriana gets to learn a couple more lessons about how to be in a friendship.”
In addition to the main trio, Finding Her Edge also stars Alexandra Beaton, Alice Malakhov, Niko Ceci and Harmon Walsh. Canadian figure skating champions Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier appeared as themselves in an episode while British figure skating champions Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson voiced TV commentators on the show.
Author Jennifer Iacopelli, who wrote the Finding Her Edge book, made a brief appearance as a librarian on the show.
Finding Her Edge is currently streaming on Netflix.
