Candace Cameron Bure’s time on Dancing With the Stars had her feeling some type of way.

In Us Weekly’s exclusively clip from the Tuesday, January 27, episode of “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast,” the Full House alum discussed a certain Bible verse — Galatians 1:10 — with cohost Madison Prewett Troutt.

Prewett Troutt, 29, explained that it’s been a “continual, convicting verse” in her faith.

“It says, ‘Are you really trying to win the approval of people? Because if you’re trying to win the approval of people, you’re not a servant of Christ.’ I’m like, ouch,” Prewett Troutt said. “I want both.”

Cameron Bure, 49, agreed, revealing that she “felt” this verse a lot during her appearance on season 18 of Dancing With the Stars in 2014.

“I think about our reality show connection. Yours was a dating show, I went on a dance show,” Cameron Bure explained. “But I kept saying that verse to myself too, because there is a sense where you’re like, ‘Well, I actually am trying to win over an audience and please an audience.’ However, that’s not my real audience.”

She added, “My audience is an audience of one. It’s God.” (Cameron Bure shared a similar sentiment when discussing her religious beliefs in her Us Weekly cover story last month.)

Cameron Bure was paired with professional dancer Mark Ballas during her time on DTWS and made it to the finals, finishing in third place after Meryl Davis and Amy Purdy.

“I learned A LOT competing on @dancingwiththestars!!” Cameron Bure shared in a July 2025 Instagram post, reflecting on her season. “I certainly learned how to dance, and to trust my partner to lead, but I also learned to slow down and follow the rhythm of rest.”

Cameron Bure detailed her DWTS days in her devotional, 100 Days of Joy and Strength, which was originally published in 2020.

“In the end, Jesus is my ultimate dance Partner, and I’ve learned to follow His lead step by step,” she shared on social media.

In the book, Cameron Bure called DWTS “unquestionably the hardest” she’s ever worked physically.

“I had to give it my all because … l really didn’t know how to dance. Fortunately, I was paired with a great partner, and I was willing to work my dancing shoes off, and it ended up being a great experience,” the book read. “It turns out, I haven’t always known how to rest either. I’ve needed a strong Partner to walk me through the steps and teach me to flow freely with ‘the unforced rhythms of grace.”

Cameron Bure continued by sharing with readers a “pointer” she learned through the show and her “journey with Jesus.”

“When He tells you to slow down, ease up. When He tells you to run, go like a gazelle,” she wrote. “When He says, ‘Turn here’ or ‘Leap, I’ll catch you,’ believe Him. And when He says, ‘Wait,’ stand still. You can trust the Spirit’s lead in all things.”

New episodes of “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast” drop on Tuesdays.
