Bangor International Airport said first responders were on the scene of an “incident” and urged people to avoid the area.
“Please avoid the airport. The runway is closed at this time,” the airport said on Facebook.
A Bangor Police dispatcher confirmed they are responding to an “aircraft incident” but did not have other details.
The airport did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
