The body of a swimmer who disappeared on Christmas Day at Budleigh Salterton Beach is believed to have been found.

It is thought to be Matthew Upham, one of two men who went missing in the water last month.

Devon and Cornwall Police said formal identification is yet to take place but the family of a 64-year-old man from Budleigh Salterton had been informed.

The force said officers had been called to Exmouth Beach at 3pm today after reports a body was seen near the shore.

The body of a 47-year-old man who also went missing at Budleigh Salterton is believed to have been found on Wednesday.
