Have you seen all of your favorite movies on Netflix in January?
The streamer does have several films that had high Rotten Tomatoes scores this month, including some over 90 percent.
However, critics don’t always get it right with their movie reviews. And that means you can’t count on Rotten Tomatoes to tell you if it’s good or not.
That’s why Watch With Us is going rogue with out list of three good Netflix movies with bad Rotten Tomatoes scores.

‘Colombiana’ (2011)
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 28 percent
If the plot of Colombiana seems familiar, just keep in mind that it was originally conceived as a sequel to Luc Besson‘s Léon: The Professional. When that idea didn’t work out, Besson redeveloped the film as a starring vehicle for Zoe Saldaña, and she demonstrates some serious action chops.
After witnessing the murder of her parents when she was a child, Cataleya (Saldaña) grows up to become a feared contract killer. But she’s never forgotten her anger towards the man responsible for turning her into an orphan, Don Luis Sandoval (Beto Benites). Don Luis made a deal with the CIA for protection, but he didn’t make a deal with Cataleya. And she’s not going to stop coming until either he dies or she does.

‘Harry and the Hendersons’ (1987)
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 48 percent
For some reason, Steven Spielberg went without a credit for executive producing Harry and the Hendersons. It’s not the most famous Amblin Entertainment film or even the best, but it is an Oscar-winner for the incredible suit and makeup effects that transformed Kevin Peter Hall into Bigfoot.
3 Good Netflix Movies With Bad Rotten Tomatoes Scores (December 2025)
John Lithgow and Melinda Dillon star as George and Nancy Henderson, a married couple with children who accidentally strike Bigfoot with their car. It’s only after the Hendersons bring Bigfoot’s body home that they discover that he’s alive and very friendly. After renaming him “Harry,” the Hendersons attempt to help Bigfoot return to the forest where they found him. At the same time, a hunter, Jacques LaFleur (David Suchet), is tracking both Harry and the Hendersons to claim his ultimate trophy.

‘Conan the Destroyer’ (1984)
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 29 percent
If you’re given the choice between Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer, then the former is the one you should watch first. It’s just a better movie in every way, from the story to the inventive (for the time) visual effects. But Netflix is so hard up for fantasy flicks that it keeps bringing Conan the Destroyer back for additional runs, and it’s better than almost any of the streamer’s original fantasy flicks.
Arnold Schwarzenegger hadn’t quite mastered all aspects of his performance at this early stage of his career, but he does look like a fantasy painting come to life. In this sequel, Conan is still mourning his lost love, Valeria, when he is charged to protect Princess Jehnna (Olivia d’Abo) and escort her safely through a quest. NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain plays the duplicitous Bombaata, but the real showstopper here is Grace Jones as Zula. Jones’ manic energy may be unintentionally funny, but you can’t take your eyes off her. She gives Conan the Destroyer the juice that’s needed to make it watchable.
