Bella Hadid condemned luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana in a scathing social media post.

Responding to an Instagram video shared by French fashion commentator Lyas, real name Elias Medini, on Sunday, January 18, Hadid, 29, agreed that Dolce & Gabbana did not embrace an inclusive brand ethos, while adding her perspective on how the company is publicly perceived. “Shocked people actually support this company still, it’s embarrassing,” the model wrote in the post’s comments section. “Models/stylists/ casting, the whole damn thing.”

Hadid, who has not walked for Dolce & Gabbana’s runway shows in the past but has stepped out in multiple garments produced by the brand over the years, expanded her thoughts in a second comment on the post. “Beeeen cancelled … years of racism, sexism, bigotry, xenophobia … how are we shocked still?” she also wrote.

Us Weekly has reached out to the fashion house for comment.

Hadid’s initial comment on the post, which saw Medini, 26, label the brand’s Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 Milan show on Saturday, January 17, “50 shades of white,” attracted more than 40,000 likes and 260 replies in the hours that followed.

One fan wrote in response, “OMG, the QUEEN that you are. JEOPARDIZING your incredible career over and over again to speak the TRUTH!,” while another added, “Yes queen, it should have been cancelled years ago.”

Hadid’s comments, however, didn’t impress everyone, with some fashion industry employees noting Dolce & Gabbana’s global stature. One person commented, “For many people in the industry, doing the show simply means being able to pay rent, saying ‘no’ is a privilege.” Another social media user issued the warning, “Bella be careful.”

The model, who incorporated a Western theme into her ensembles throughout various public outings in 2025, was last seen wearing Dolce & Gabbana in October last year. Stepping out in New York City right before her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show appearance, Hadid wore an equestrian themed pair of trousers designed and originally released by the brand as part of its Spring 2001 collection. (Kim Kardashian later reimagined the design as part of her 2023 Dolce & Gabbana collaboration.)

In February 2025, Hadid also rocked heeled Dolce & Gabbana boots during an outing in West Hollywood, California. The footwear was part of a short-lived offshoot label launched by the fashion house and featured large butterfly motifs.

Hadid’s public comments on the brand do not serve as the first time the model has taken a jab at a prominent fashion label. In 2019, she said at Paris’ Vogue Fashion Festival that she “never felt powerful” while modelling lingerie until she walked the New York Fashion Week catwalk in Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty collection the previous year.

Hadid walked multiple runway shows in lingerie for Victoria’s Secret prior to her work with Savage X Fenty, one of which saw her joined by sister and fellow model Gigi Hadid.

Bella was also vocal about her involvement in a 2024 Adidas campaign that was widely panned for what the brand called “unintentional” referencing to the 1972 Munich Olympics. Bella said publicly after the campaign went live, “I am shocked, I am upset, and I am disappointed in the lack of sensitivity that went into this campaign. I would never knowingly engage with any art or work that is linked to a horrific tragedy of any kind.”

The 1972 sporting event saw 11 Israeli athletes, a West German police officer and five terrorists killed in an attack dubbed the Munich Massacre.
