Former Nickelodeon star Kianna Underwood is dead following a hit and run. She was 33.
Multiple outlets reported that Underwood was identified as the victim of a hit and run accident in Brooklyn in the neighborhood of Brownsville on Friday, January 16. The NYPD confirmed that a female victim was pronounced dead at the scene, per Variety.
Kianna’s father, Anthony Underwood, later confirmed the news by sharing an article about his daughter’s death on Facebook.
“Please give me and my family time to process this,” he captioned the status update. “Thank you.” He also linked to a NY Post story about the accident.

Several of Anthony’s Facebook friends sent their sympathies to his family.
“Sending lots of love and prayers,” one user replied in the comments section, while another responded, “I am so sorry and thinking of you and your family.”
The All That alum was struck by a sedan while she was crossing the street on Friday morning at 7 a.m. local time, according to TMZ. No arrests have been made at this time.
Kianna was best known for starring on All That. She appeared in seven episodes on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy from 2004 to 2005. Her costars included Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon and more.
In addition to All That, Kianna lent her voice to the animated children’s series Little Bill. She portrayed the character Fuchsia Glover, who was a cousin of the titular character, voiced by Xavier Pritchett. She was featured in 23 episodes on the show that ran from 1999 to 2004.
Kianna also appeared in the film The 24-Hour Woman as Taneesha Labelle. The 1999 comedy starred Rosie Perez, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Patti LuPone. The 24-Hour Woman premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and the indie project had a limited run in theaters.
She also voiced the character Dakota in the animated TV holiday movie Santa, Baby!
In addition to her multiple TV and film roles, Kianna dabbled in theater. She was part of the touring company for the musical Hairspray, where the actress played the part of Little Inez.

Kianna’s time on All That was her final project in Hollywood. She remained out of the spotlight after departing the Nickelodeon series in 2005.
Fans paid tribute to Kianna on social media following the news of her death.
“What happened to you was terrible RIP Kianna Underwood,” one user wrote via X on Friday alongside a series of photos from the actress’ memorable roles.
Another fan tweeted, “So damn tragic, she had her whole life ahead.”
