Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge’s Enola Holmes characters might be getting a quintessential love story ending in the upcoming third movie.
In a first look photo released by Netflix on Wednesday, December 7, Partridge, 22, who portrays Tewkesbury, can be seen down on one knee in front of Brown, 21, who stars as the titular character. Tewkesbury is holding a flower in the shape of a ring in front of Enola while she sits on a bed with a shocked expression.
According to the film’s synopsis, Enola has opened her own detective agency and finds herself in Malta for a case. A release date for Enola Homes has yet to be revealed.
Brown has played the youngest Holmes siblings since the first film premiered in 2020. The franchise is based on the novel The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer.

In addition to Brown and Partridge, the Enola Homes 3 cast includes Henry Cavill, Himesh Patel, Helena Bonham Carter and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.
A third Enola Holmes movie was announced in November 2024, with filming beginning the following year. In June 2025, Brown shared that filming had wrapped.
“Case closed,” the actress wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a slideshow of photos highlighting various behind-the-scenes Enola Holmes 3 moments.
Five months later, Brown, who also serves as a producer on the project, gushed about how “excited” she was for viewers to see the next installment. She also teased that the project was going in a different direction compared to the previous films.
“I’m really, really excited for people to see it. I think it’s a very different Enola Holmes that you’re going to be able to see,” she said in a November 2025 Collider interview. “You asked for romance, so we’ll give you romance.”
When Brown first started playing Enola six years ago, she had yet to personally walk down the aisle. A year after the release of Enola Holmes, she began dating Jon Bon Jovi’s son, Jake Bongiovi. The couple got engaged in 2023 and tied the knot the following year. In 2025, Brown and Bongiovi welcomed their first child, a daughter whose name has not been shared publicly, via adoption.

“It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey — she’s taught us so much already,” she told British Vogue in a profile published in November 2025 of her experience as a new mom. “Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy.”
Brown also shared her reasoning for keeping details about her daughter out of the spotlight.
“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself. It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly,” the Stranger Things actress explained. “If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support. But right now, as she’s so little. … As her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that.”
