Stefon Diggs and a woman who served as his private chef appeared to have an argument via text message about money she believed the New England Patriots star owed her, court documents revealed.
The documents, obtained by Boston 25 News, show a screenshot of an alleged conversation between Diggs, 32, and the woman, who is accusing him of assaulting her.
“You will [be] paying me out for the season & the money you said you would give me for my business, wasted my f***ing time being here because you got a f***ing circus going on,” she wrote, according to the screenshot.
“I’m out of your life!” she added.

Diggs then allegedly sent multiple replies, beginning with, “I won’t be paying you s***!”

“She said that he was behind her with his arm wrapped around her,” said the report. “She said that she did feel like she had trouble breathing and that she felt like she could have blacked out.”
“Stefon Diggs categorically denies these allegations,” David Meier, one of Diggs’ attorneys, said in a statement to Us Weekly. “They are unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated — because they did not occur. The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: They are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction. Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in a court of law.”
Michael DiStefano, another attorney for Diggs, appeared remotely in Dedham District Court in Massachusetts on Tuesday, December 30, where he asked to have the police report impounded and the details surrounding the allegations sealed.
DiStefano added that Diggs has made a financial offer to the alleged victim in an effort to resolve the dispute.

The Patriots, with whom Diggs signed a three-year, $69 million contract in March, released a statement about the allegations on Tuesday.
“The New England Patriots are aware of the accusations that have been made regarding Stefon Diggs,” the Patriots wrote in a statement released Tuesday. “Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary. Out of respect for all parties involved, and given that this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.”
The Patriots host the Miami Dolphins in the regular season finale on Sunday, January 4. It is not clear if Diggs will be permitted to play.
