For those TV fans who want some new Christmas content, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, Shifting Gears and Ghosts are just some of the shows delivering gifts this year.
Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage aired an episode following the McAllister family’s disastrous plans to spend Christmas in Miami.
“Anytime we can find an angle that feels a little different for us, that’s more exciting,” executive producer Steve Molaro told TV Line in December 2025 about their approach to the holiday special while cocreator Steve Holland added, “There’s the threat sometimes, especially with a Christmas episode, for it to lean saccharine. And everything going great isn’t that much fun to write or watch.”
Meanwhile, over on Shifting Gears, viewers were introduced to Gabe’s (Seann William Scott) mother, played by Pamela Adlon.

“The guest stars we’ve gotten on the show … it seems like we get legends coming in just to play with us each week,” Scott told Nerdtropolis at the time. “The show is so much fun. It’s the greatest gift. I’m having the time of my life.”

‘Ghosts’ (CBS)
“Sam’s big Christmas Eve TV interview with Walter Storm takes an unexpected turn,” read the official description. “Trevor and Patience bond over their mutual disinterest in celebrating Christmas.”
‘Going Dutch’ (Fox)
Fox teased the special installment of the show where it is the middle of spring and the Dutch are celebrating Christmas – again. The colonel and Katja, specifically, are looking forward to “celebrating their first Christmas dinner together as girlfriend and boyfriend.”
‘The Neighborhood’ (CBS)
The eighth and final season of the sitcom starts to wrap up with a special where the Butlers’ anniversary plans “take an unexpected turn when a blast from the past resurfaces.”
‘Shifting Gears’ (ABC)
Tim Allen’s sitcom has a holiday-themed episode where Matt and Eve “are on thin ice” as Gabe enlists Riley to help Amelie impress his mom. Carter, meanwhile, “seeks help with his promposal,” according to the official description.
