JoJo Siwa is celebrating another trip around the sun for boyfriend Chris Hughes.
“This day 33 years ago was a good good day … the day my favorite person was born🤍,” Siwa, 22, wrote via Instagram on Monday, December 22. “happy birthday to my love. I couldn’t imagine a life without you in it anymore, you are the best friend, son, brother, and boyfriend. You make my life better each day that passes. Everyone who knows you is a lucky one. Love you lots and lots more than tater tots.🤍🤍🤍.”
Alongside the message, Siwa shared a glimpse of her birthday celebrations for Hughes, 33. In one image, Hughes smiled as he leaned over the counter to admire his soccer-themed birthday cake. Behind Hughes, the home was covered in soccer-themed decorations, including balloons, blown up balls and streamers.
Hughes reacted to the birthday shout-out in the comments section, writing, “🤍😃🤍.”
JoJo Siwa and Boyfriend Chris Hughes Open Up About Future Engagement
Siwa and Hughes first connected on the U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother in April, with her gushing about their connection in a May digital cover story with Us Weekly.
“What’s so special about Chris and I is that our bond is so genuine that neither of us care what people make of it,” Siwa told Us at the time. “Because we know our genuine friendship and we know our bond. It’s a great little special friendship that we have. And I literally send him videos of us dancing all the time.”

Siwa and Hughes confirmed their romance in June. The next month, Hughes exclusively told Us that he and Siwa have been thinking about their future together.
“We genuinely speak to each other about this,” Hughes said at the time. “When you are absolutely besotted with each other and you are in love with someone, I think it’s fun to look forward to those things.”
JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes Relationship Timeline
He continued, “Of course I want to get married. I would never shy away from saying that. I want to marry and one day I want to have children. We both come from extremely loving families and very wholesome families who care … So it would be nice to reciprocate that going forward.”
Months later, Siwa and Hughes shared their thoughts on a potential engagement — including whether he would want her to propose to him.
“I’ve spoke[n] to people about it, before you, obviously. And I actually said, I think if I was proposed to, that would make me really uncomfortable,” Hughes explained of Siwa popping the question to him.
Siwa shared that she wouldn’t ask for his hand in marriage unless he waited seven years to propose, which Hughes agreed was “fair.”
“I don’t feel like anyone should take seven years. It shouldn’t take seven years to work out if you want to marry someone, do you know what I mean?” Hughes said. “So yeah, you can go off that and then that won’t ever happen.”
“Just so you know, on May 27, 2032, I will be down on one knee,” Siwa replied as she and Hughes laughed. “I will not wait one extra day.”
