Lena Dunham is giving football fans and Swifties alike a glimpse inside the exclusive suite where she watched the Kansas City Chiefs play alongside Taylor Swift.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, December 8, the Girls alum, 39, uploaded a carousel of photos from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, during the Chiefs’ Sunday Night Football matchup against the Houston Texans.
Dunham could be seen decked out in Chiefs merchandise in a number of photos, as was her producing partner Michael P. Cohen. Cohen also got into the spirit of the game by also wearing the team’s gear while posing for photos with Dunham.
“My first home team (I happen to be a New Yorker who lives in London who roots for Kansas City, so sue me 😍) and my first home game with my forever home boy @michaelpcohen. If you see me in a new piece of Chiefs merch every day for the next 17 months blame @handler.official and keep moving,” Dunham wrote in the post’s caption.

Dunham was one of several stars, including Swift, Selena Gomez and Leonardo Dicaprio, who were spotted cheering on Swift’s fiancé Travis Kelce and his team, who ultimately suffered a debilitating 20-10 loss against the Texans.
“She’s in her sports era — people have questions (and by people I mean my parents, who spent my childhood having to ask me to do light laps of the apartment during the summers so I didn’t get bed sores!” Dunham joked. “And a guy on the plane home is reading some Alan Watts, always a good sign.”
Dunham concluded the post by giving a shout out to Kelce, signing off by writing, “Love you @killatrav.”
Since Swift, 35, began dating Kelce, 36, in the summer of 2023, she has often attended his home games to cheer him on.
This year, Swift appears to be taking a more low-key approach to her appearances at the tight end’s games compared to previous years. Last season, she was more visible in the stands as she attended games with the likes of Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and more stars. This year, she’s keeping a subtle profile, at one point even arriving at a game from behind a moving wall.
Dunham’s friendship with Swift and Gomez goes back more than a decade. The trio notably appeared together in Swift’s 2014 “Bad Blood” music video. Other high-profile stars that appeared as part of Swift’s “squad” in the video included Gigi Hadid and Zendaya.

Dunham opened up about her friendship with Swift to The New Yorker for an interview published in July 2024.
“I’m always very careful to be protective of her in every single way,” Dunham told the outlet at the time. “Probably the two things I get asked most in life are, ‘What is Taylor like?’ and, ‘Can I have tickets to the Eras Tour?’ And usually my answer to both things is no, but I will say that she’s everything that you would want her to be.”
Continuing to heap praise on the “Opalite” pop star, Dunham went on to describe Swift as “kind, she’s devoted, she’s introspective, she’s emotional, she’s funny as f**k.”
Dunham added,“I guess my feeling sometimes is, ‘Isn’t she giving us enough, guys?’”
