Ray J was hit with a lawsuit accusing him of owing a massive credit card debt days before he was arrested for making alleged threats to his estranged wife, Princess Love, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
On November 19, Ray J (real name: Willie Norwood) and his company Tronix Network were sued by American Express in Los Angeles Superior Court.
In court docs, American Express claimed Ray J, 44, and his company owed a total of $139,849.85 for breach of contract.
The credit card company claimed Ray J stopped making payments on the card in May and still owed the six-figure balance.
The Tronix Network is a streaming platform that Ray J announced in 2024. The One Wish singer has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
As Us previously reported, on Thursday, November 27, Ray J was livestreaming from his home. He appeared to grab a gun and load it. Love, 41, walked into his room to grab their daughter, which led to Ray J yelling at Love. During the livestream, Ray J accused his ex of being intoxicated.

Later, a man walked into the room and Ray J could be heard telling him, “I’ll shoot the f*** out of you.” He continued by threatening, “I’ll kill you.” Ray J also told the guests, “Get out of my house before I shoot you right now. I got a gun on me.”
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the police received a call at around 4 a.m. to a home in Porter Ranch, California, over potential domestic violence and threats. Officers arrived at the home and took Ray J into custody. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
Hours after his arrest, Love broke her silence via a video she posted on Instagram talking about the incident.
