A Guide to Netflix’s Biggest TV, True Crime and Movie Releases in 2025
‘Jay Kelly’ (2025)
Feeling dissatisfied with where he’s at in his life, aging movie star Jay Kelly (Clooney) drops all his upcoming movies and projects and instead sets off with his manager Ron (Sandler) for a trip to Europe. The sojourn becomes one of self-discovery, with both men confronting their pasts as well as their relationships with the people in their lives and with each other, as they consider the legacies they will leave when they die.
Academy Award-winning director Noah Baumbach allows Clooney to confront his own movie star persona in a metatextual role that both satirizes and eulogizes the concept of celebrity. At the same time, Baumbach reteams with Sandler for the first time since The Meyerowitz Stories, allowing the comedian to further flex his ample dramatic chops in this meditative character study.
Stream Jay Kelly on December 5 on Netflix.
‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 12
Twelve years ago, Vanderpump Rules set off to chronicle an incredibly chaotic, intertwined group of servers working at the Los Angeles restaurants of Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump. For more than a decade, we witnessed the lives of ordinary young people named Jax Taylor, Ariana Madix and Stassi Schroeder, as they both grew up as people and grew around the concept of being reality TV stars, all culminating in a career-changing season 11.
After a dramatic cheating scandal and permanently severed relationships, Vanderpump Rules season 11 marked the conclusion of our time with the original group of servers from SUR. Instead, season 12 will attempt to continue the spirit of the show with an all-new group of struggling waiters and waitresses working for Vanderpump. While long-time fans are skeptical that the show can recreate the unique magic, if anything, it will be an interesting experiment and a treat to return to SUR.
Stream Vanderpump Rules season 12 on December 3 on Peacock.
‘The Phoenician Scheme’ (2025)
Zsa-Zsa Korda (Benicio del Toro) appoints his only daughter, a nun named Liesl (Mia Threapleton), as the sole heir of his massive estate after narrowly surviving an assassination attempt, urging her to quit the Church and take over his business. In spite of their fraught relationship, Liesl ends up accompanying Korda as he attempts to swindle investors in a new enterprise, and together the two become the target of plotting assassins and tycoons.
If you enjoy Wes Anderson’s later films like The French Dispatch and Asteroid City, then you are sure to enjoy the aesthetic pleasures and droll comedy of The Phoenician Scheme. Anchored by a brilliant lead performance from del Toro, who is accompanied by Anderson’s usual expansive ensemble cast, including Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hanks, the movie is gorgeous, meticulous and unwaveringly charming.
Stream The Phoenician Scheme on December 5 on Prime Video.
‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Season 15
The Housewives of Beverly Hills returns for season 15, as we get back into all the drama of the women who live among the stars and celebrities of Hollywood. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills follows the series’ longest-running housewife, Kyle Richards, alongside Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John and new cast members Rachel Zoe and Amanda Frances.
Tensions, drama and stunning revelations from the previous few seasons continue to pile up in the show’s fifteenth season, as Dorit and Kyle deal with their respective divorces while Kyle opens up about her sexuality and Erika finally enjoys a bit of the single life. The trailer for the new season boasts plenty of exotic vacation locales along with tears and shouting matches aplenty. We can’t wait to catch up with our favorite ladies from Beverly Hills.
Stream The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 on December 5 on Peacock.
‘It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley’ (2025)
In 1997, musician Jeff Buckley died at age 30 after getting swept away while swimming in the Mississippi River. When he died, Buckley had only released one studio album, Grace, in 1994. It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley explores a generation-defining talent taken far too young, as this documentary film pieces together previously unreleased footage, voice recordings and interviews with friends and family.
New on Netflix in November 2025 — The Full List of Movies and TV Shows
It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley is a touching and comprehensive portrait of Buckley that celebrates what he left behind while mourning what will never be. Director Amy Berg approaches Buckley’s life with immense care and empathy, crafting a fascinating and unavoidably heartbreaking film that is refreshingly intimate and honest in shedding light on who Buckley really was.
