Two people have been arrested after a car crash on Hammond Street Monday morning.
Officials responded to the crash scene around 11:43 a.m., according to a Bangor Police Department spokesperson. When officials arrived at the crash, witnesses said they saw a vehicle driving away from the scene.
Michele Payeur, 36, of Bangor, was located following the crash. Nicholas Bennett, 37, who was also involved in the crash, was also arrested Wednesday because he was not supposed to have contact with Payeur.
Payeur was charged with operating under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash. Bennett has been charged with violating the conditions of his release.
Further details were not immediately available.
