Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Draper Ngatikaura has nothing but kind words for Hair by Chrissy’s Chrissy Rasmussen.
“People compare us a lot because she’s in Arizona, I’m in Utah,” Jessi, 33, shared during an episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, released on Friday, November 21. “We’re like, JZ and Hair by Chrissy — Habit Salon is the name of her salon — they just compare us a lot.”
Jessi made it clear that there’s no beef between them, even though they’re both internet stars in the hair industry.
“I will say, Chrissy’s been one of my idols. I went to a few of her classes back in the day,” Jessi said. “I love her. I know her and her husband.”

She added, “I don’t know how she feels about me, but I think she’s great. I genuinely was one of her biggest fans coming up in my career.”
Jessi noted that “competition is hard” in the beauty world. She even shared that fellow SLOMW stars Mayci Neeley and Mikayla Matthews went to Chrissy for their hair before switching over to Jessi.
“I don’t know if that caused any issues,” Jessi admitted. “But she is talented and she’s built something crazy amazing.”
Jessi’s positive comments about Chrissy come as the influencer is facing a major controversy.
Chrissy was called out by TikTok creator @notfamous808, who had an alleged poor experience at Habit Salon.
The internet user shared her experience at the salon on TikTok earlier this month, claiming that Chrissy was “nowhere to be found” in the salon. The TikTok user went in for extensions, color and a cut and was allegedly helped by 10 other employees.
When sharing the receipts from her experience at the salon, @notfamous808 apparently paid well over $4,000. One charge, for $2,974, was titled the “Chrissy service,” which was allegedly just Chrissy touching her hair.
“It was a little bit disappointing to pay the price that I did for the service,” @notfamous808 explained in her videos, claiming that the services “did not meet my expectations.”
