Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union will once again participate in two community holiday traditions: the Anah Shriners’ Feztival of Trees in Bangor and the Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Valley of Trees Festival in Corinna.
Both events bring together families, businesses and organizations to celebrate the holiday season while raising funds that directly benefit their communities.
The Anah Shriners’ Feztival of Trees takes place Nov. 20-30 at the Anah Shrine, located at 1404 Broadway in Bangor. Visitors can browse numerous decorated trees, each with themed gifts donated by local businesses. Raffle proceeds benefit the Anah Shrine and its philanthropic mission to support children in need. Admission is $2 for adults, with free entry for children under 12. Guests can also enjoy photos with Santa (by donation), a cash raffle and refreshments.
The Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Valley of Trees Festival will be held Dec. 4-7 at the Perfect Fit Community Center (42 Stetson Road, Corinna). Sponsored by Sebasticook Valley FCU, the festival includes up to 56 decorated trees, with raffle tickets available to win each tree and its gifts. Admission is $2 per person, and children 12 and under are free. Raffle proceeds benefit community programs and local causes throughout the Sebasticook Valley area.
“The holiday season is all about giving back, and these two festivals bring people together in a way that captures the best of our community,” said Jim Lemieux, president of Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union. “We’re proud to support these events and the organizations behind them, and we’re excited to see the creativity that shines through each tree.”
