Southern Charm star Salley Carson had quite the moment with one of the The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys cast members at BravoCon 2025.
“The McBee boys are here. That was a weird run-in,” Salley, 30, told Us Weekly exclusively on Saturday, November 15. “It was just a little awkward.”
Bravo fans know that Salley briefly flew to Missouri to visit Steven McBee Jr. earlier this year.
“It was, like, a second,” Salley told Us when asked if something romantic went down between them. Rodrigo Reyes joined Salley for the interview — and acted as the peanut gallery.
“Wow, I bet he’s gonna love to hear that,” he quipped. Salley attempted to clarify through laughter.
“No, not like that. I mean, kind of like that,” Salley said. “You guys, don’t get me in trouble. No, they’re great.”

Salley said that she “vibed” with the brothers — Jesse, Cole and Brayden McBee — and other members of the family more than Steven Jr., 32.
“He’s a great guy,” she continued. “He’s amazing but our personalities didn’t match.”
This past August, eagle-eyed Bravo fans raised some eyebrows when Salley commented on a series of fire emojis on a shirtless Instagram photo of Steven Jr. The following month, videos went viral of her attending an event in Missouri with the family.

While things fizzled out between Salley and Steven Jr., fans will get to see her love life play out even further during the forthcoming 11th season of Southern Charm, set to premiere next week.
“It’s gonna be really fun to watch it unfold,” Salley teased to Us, noting that her opinion about costar Craig Conover changed throughout the season.
“I love Craig, yeah, but there’s sides to all of us that are ugly. There’s beautiful sides to all of us,” she explained. “I think all of us have our flaws, and we all need to work them out. I think we all saw every side of each other during this season.”

Rodrigo, 40, also teased what fans can see from Craig, 36, this time around, following his breakup from Paige DeSorbo. (Craig and Paige, 33, split in late 2024.)
“We’ve been friends for a long time. We, kind of, see Craig reemerge as the old Craig,” Rodrigo explained. “After Paige, he is trying to run the straight and narrow path, and now he’s [gone] back to being a little bit of a party boy, and some old behaviors come.”
He called it “the old Southern Charm” — which is the consensus across the cast.
“Everyone’s natural, loose and letting it be, instead of trying to control the narrative,” he explained. “I feel like that’s when you lose the whole plot of our friendships — if you’re trying to manufacture things. It’s better this way to see everyone be natural and be comfortable in owning and working through their mistakes.”
Overall, they’re both “excited” for fans to finally see the new season.
“I don’t know if I’m excited about myself,” Salley joked, explaining that she’s most nervous to see “all the mess to unfold.”
