3 New to Prime Video Movies I’m Watching This Weekend (November 14-16): ‘Drop’ and More

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and Prime Video has plenty of movies to celebrate the holiday.

But for those who can’t stand the sight of turkey, Watch With Us has compiled a list of new movies on Prime Video that should take your mind off the impending holiday this weekend.

The thriller Drop, the cannibal love story Bones and All and the comedy Baywatch are all high-quality films to watch this November or any time of the year.

Who can resist seeing Dwayne Johnson make fun of his tough guy persona or Timothée Chalamet feast on a fellow human?

‘Drop’ (2025)

First dates are bad enough, but for Violet Gates (Meghann Fahy), they could be the death of her — literally. When she meets Henry (Brandon Sklenar) for dinner at a high-end Chicago restaurant, things go pretty well until she starts receiving increasingly threatening “digi-drops” on her phone. The mysterious user sending these messages soon reveals they’ve kidnapped her young son and will only release him if she retrieves certain items from Henry. When the kidnapper asks her to poison Henry, Violet must face an impossible choice — kill a stranger or let her son die.

2025’s Best Thriller Is Now Streaming — and It Has an 84 Percent on Rotten Tomatoes

Drop has a killer premise, but so do a lot of other thrillers. What makes the movie so special is that it sticks the landing — after the initial setup, Drop just gets more tense as Violet has to figure out a way out of an increasingly desperate situation. In her first feature film role after her breakout performance in The White Lotus, Fahy cements her status as an actress you like right off the bat. Because of her, you want Violet to live another day — and maybe go out on a date that won’t end in bloodshed

Drop is streaming on Prime Video.

‘Bones and All’ (2022)

Teenager Maren (Taylor Russell) has an unusual appetite — she likes the taste of human flesh and will kill anyone to satisfy her cravings. After her father abandons her, she travels cross-country to find her birth mother. Along the way, she meets two men who share her cannibalistic tendencies: Sully (Mark Rylance), an older man who creeps her out, and Lee (Timothée Chalamet), who is around her age and is drawn to her. Maren and Lee fall in love, but their attempts at leading a normal life are thwarted by their own killer desires. Can they find their happily ever after? Or will their past crimes catch up with them?

Bones and All is an unusual love story because it asks you to sympathize with two people who like to eat humans. That’s a big ask, but the film pulls it off thanks to its two dynamic leads. As the ‘80s version of Bonnie and Clyde, Russell’s Maren and Chalamet’s Lee are rebels without a cause — and a taste for blood. Their love for each other feels real, so it’s extra disturbing when you’re rooting for them to win even when they’re feasting on innocent bystanders.

‘Baywatch’ (2017)

In the ‘90s, Baywatch reigned supreme as the world’s most popular television show. It was also god awful, with terrible acting, lame plots and thin characterization. That’s why Baywatch the movie is so surprising — it’s far better than the show that spawned it because it takes what made the show so successful and puts a satirical spin on it.

8 New Movies to Watch This Weekend on Netflix, Disney+, More (November 14-16)

Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) rules his Baywatch lifeguard team with an iron fist, which is why he’s so annoyed when new member Matt Brody (Zac Efron) keeps usurping his authority. The two men don’t see eye-to-eye on everything, but they’ll have to set aside their differences if they want to find out who is running a drug smuggling run in their Miami Beach jurisdiction. Can the not-so-dynamic duo solve the mystery? Or will they wind up at the bottom of the very ocean they’re assigned to watch over?

Baywatch is streaming on Prime Video.
