Brooks Nader is a transparent queen.
Nader, 28, exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about her use of weight loss drugs during the Alice + Olivia x The Grateful Dead Party in New York City on Wednesday, November 12.
When asked if she’s still using GLP-1 medications and if she’ll ever get off them, the model replied, “I mean, I think it’s a learn as you go situation and trial and error.”
The Love Thy Nader star added, “I’m still working on my self-confidence and just my journey with that every day. It’s different now.”

Nader also shared with Us, “I fluctuate like everyone else. So it just depends.”
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model has been open about using Ozempic and GLP-1 through the years and the side effects she’s felt. After almost fainting and feeling nauseous during season 1 of her Hulu series, Love Thy Nader, fans reached out to Nader to share their stories.
“The thing that I was so shocked about with the show was that I had so many people reach out to me, saying, ‘I’m also addicted to GLP-1. I’m ashamed to talk about it because there’s such a stigma around it. It’s a crutch for me,’” she told Bustle earlier this month.
Nader added, “I’m still on it. It’s a crutch for me, too. It’s not healthy. I should get off it; I’ll be honest about that.”

During season 1 episode 7 of Love Thy Nader, her sisters, Grace Ann Nader, Sarah Jane Nader and Mary Holland Nader, held an intervention for Brooks after finding the amount of GLP-1 needles and bottles that Brooks had stocked up.
Her sisters became worried after Brooks upped her dosage to look “extra snatched” for a Maxim photo shoot. The higher dosage resulted in Brooks struggling to stay awake in a bathtub, nearly fainting during a workout class and feeling nauseous.
“I typically micro-dose GLP-1, this weight loss drug,” she explained in a confessional. “But now since I have Maxim coming up, and I’m probably gonna be half-naked, I’m upping my dose a little because I want to be extra snatched. But at the same time, the symptoms of the weight loss drug, they’ve gotten a lot worse recently.”

Grace Ann, 25, then shared that Brooks “didn’t eat last night and she didn’t eat anything today.” She sympathized with her sister, sharing, “There is an enormous amount of pressure in the modeling industry in order to be a working model. I’ve felt it, everyone’s felt it. But Brooks puts an unrealistic amount of pressure on herself in order to maintain her appearance.”
Grace Ann continued, “I’m seriously worried about her. [She’s] really fatigued, she’s passing out, she’s throwing up.”
After the intervention, Brooks said that she appreciated her sisters’ concern. “I know my sisters are coming from a place of love, I just find that you don’t know until you’re in that position how to handle it,” she said. “I think that I have maybe an unhealthy relationship with weight and food because of the industry that I’m in, but I don’t think that I have an eating disorder.”
