The annual Festival of Lights parade will return to downtown Bangor next month.
The holiday parade will happen at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, according to The Rotary Club of Bangor, which said this year’s theme is “Unite for Good.”
The parade will feature marching bands, floats, dancers and other performers. After the parade, the holiday tree will be lighted in West Market Square.
“We are thrilled to share the magic of the holidays with our community through the Festival of Lights Parade,” said Jan Currier, parade chair and club president. “Rotary Club of Bangor is dedicated to creating a truly memorable experience that brings people together and celebrates the hope and joy of the season. There is something for everyone to enjoy, from the sparkling floats to the lively performers, so we hope everyone will bring their loved ones and join us for an evening of festive cheer in downtown Bangor.”
If the weather proves inclement, the parade will be moved to Dec. 13.
