Human remains have been found in Blaine.
A local resident found the remains in the small Aroostook town last Thursday, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The remains have been brought to the Maine medical examiner’s office in Augusta, where they will be examined and identified, Moss said Tuesday evening.
She noted that it may take some time for them to be identified.
For now, no additional information is being released.
The investigation is ongoing.
