The Halloween season is just about over, but Peacock is still overflowing with horror films at the moment.
Fortunately for movie lovers, Peacock has different types of horror movies for a wide variety of fans, from action junkies to younger audiences.

‘Van Helsing’ (2004)
If Van Helsing reminds you of The Mummy films starring Brendan Fraser, it’s not a coincidence. Stephen Sommers was hired to helm Van Helsing on the strength of his Mummy movies, and he brought a lot of the latter’s lighthearted touches to this film. Hugh Jackman stars as Gabriel Van Helsing, the best monster hunter in the employ of the Knights of the Holy Order.
Van Helsing doesn’t remember much about his past, but he craves redemption. To find it, he’ll have to go up against the Universal monsters, including Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh), Frankenstein’s monster (Shuler Hensley) and a wolfman (Will Kemp). Kate Beckinsale costars as Anna Valerious, a woman who needs to keep her family’s vow to destroy Dracula or else their souls will be lost to Purgatory for eternity.

‘Scary Movie’ (2000)
Have you ever seen a movie so stupid that it’s hilarious? Scary Movie is one of those. This was supposed to be a comedic vehicle for Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans, but Anna Faris steals the film as Cindy Campbell, a cross between Neve Campbell‘s and Jennifer Love Hewitt‘s characters from Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, respectively.

This film can’t decide if it’s a Scream or an I Know What You Did Last Summer parody, so it just follows the plot of both movies. It works because this flick is relentlessly silly, and it’s unafraid to kill off some of its leading characters for a laugh. There were some diminishing returns from the four sequels that followed, but Scary Movie delivers a fun comedy horror experience.

‘Monster House’ (2006)
How do you make a horror movie for children? Director Gil Kenan found a way while making Monster House: Add a lot of humor and keep the scares from getting too intense. The result was a family-friendly flick that even older kids could love, thanks to a script cowritten by Community creator Dan Harmon.
Mitchel Musso lends his voice to Dustin James “D.J.” Walters, a 12-year-old boy who lives near the creepiest house on the street, which is owned by a cranky old man, Horace Nebbercracker (Steve Buscemi). When Horace is taken away by paramedics, D.J. notices unmistakable signs that the Nebbercracker house is not only haunted, it’s kidnapping people. To save the victims, D.J. and his friends, Charles “Chowder” Peterson (Sam Lerner) and Jennifer “Jenny” Bennett (Spencer Locke), risk going into the house by themselves to take down its restless spirit.
