My friend Ben Speed is seeking election to the Bangor School Committee. I believe he would make an outstanding member of that esteemed group. In addition to being a valued colleague, I know Ben to be a teacher, role model, uniter, and an ardent community champion. He has a great sense of humor that accompanies his quiet, confident demeanor and optimistic disposition.
His campaign materials accurately reflect his passion for the arts and education, and I will expand on that by stating Ben has heart. A good and caring heart for Bangor and all who call the Queen City their home. Ensuring our schools can provide the best possible education for all the city’s school children is important to Ben, as is working collaboratively with other boards, committees, and organizations.
In a world that can sometimes feel upside down and out of control, Ben consistently brings a calm, thoughtful, and positive approach to all he does. This election day, I urge the voters of Bangor to support Benjamin Speed for Bangor School Committee.
