The state’s largest landfill plans to finally treat contaminated water that runs into the Penobscot River. The state is requiring a treatment system for PFAS chemicals as part of a controversial 61-acre expansion plan at Juniper Ridge.
Lincoln County officials are recommending a $1 budget for their local prosecutor. Members of the Lincoln County advisory committee declined to get specific about their concerns with District Attorney Natasha Irving’s office.
Bangor’s restaurant scene is growing this fall. Mainely Tacos Dos and Downtown Spot are open now, while Dreamer Food and Rasa Indian Cuisine are set to open in December.
Milford’s middle school was named best in Maine. The recognition comes less than a week after residents slashed the school’s budget in a contentious town vote.
