A cat died Sunday afternoon in a fire at a Farmington campground.
The fire broke out about 2 p.m. at Troll Valley Campground on Red Schoolhouse Road, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Firefighters quickly gained control of the blaze, Moss said Monday.
No one was injured in the fire, but one cat died.
Investigators determined the fire began in a space between the building’s basement ceiling and first floor. It has been ruled accidental.
