This weekend marked two years since a deadly shooting shook Lewiston, and the community gathered to pay its respects at the Colisee.
Fans attended a tribute and hockey game featuring former members of the Boston Bruins. The Lewiston Police Department faced off against the Boston Bruins alumni team.
“For us to come out here today and kind of honor them with a game and a ceremony before the game means a lot to the community, means a lot to us too as the Boston Bruins alumni organization,” said Frank Simonetti, the president of the Boston Bruins Alumni Association.
The match was part of a series of events and fundraisers held in recent days to raise money and awareness two years after the tragedy.
