On Nov. 4, Old Town voters have an opportunity to reelect Charlene Virgilio to the Old Town City Council. I urge your support of Councilor Virgilio who I believe possesses the drive, skills, experience, temperament, and commitment to public service that voters seek when supporting a candidate for public office.
Virgilio offers impressive credentials meriting her election to the Old Town City Council. She worked for 37 years for one of the world’s largest corporations where she held various program and operational management roles. After a successful career in the private sector, Charlene devoted her impressive skill set to working for Four Directions Development Corporation, a nonprofit committed to improve the social and economic conditions of the Wabanaki Nations in Maine. And perhaps foremost for Charlene she is a proud citizen of the Penobscot Indian Nation having served two terms on the tribal council.
Old Town faces the challenge of many similar communities of how to maintain and enhance city services while setting a reasonable tax rate. Charlene has declared her support for essential city services while seeking multiple ways to expand local tax revenue to fund them. Old Town can benefit from her private and nonprofit sector experience and history supporting business creation.
Vote for Charlene Virgilio for Old Town City Council.
