Did Victoria Beckham subtly address her ongoing family feud?
During the Wednesday, October 22, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, host Alex Cooper asked the former Spice Girls singer about parenting in the public eye. Victoria’s response seemed to be rather telling.
“As a mom, I’m sure you’re always just worried about your kids,” Cooper, 31, said. “What is the hardest part about stepping back and letting them make their own decisions as adults?”
Victoria, 51, prefaced her answer by saying that she and husband David Beckham have “such a close family,” which includes kids Brooklyn, 36, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper 14.
“Communication is key. And we always let them know that anything that they wanna talk about, this is a safe forum. That’s really important,” Victoria said. “They’ve gotta go on their journeys themselves.”

She added, “Our kids are genuinely all really good, sweet, kind, human beings. You know, being kind is so important. Hardworking. They don’t expect anything to just happen.”
Rumors swirled following Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to wife Nicola Peltz that the couple had issues with his family. (It was widely reported that there was tension between Victoria and Nicola, 30, around the nuptials.)
Things appeared to come to a head in May when the couple skipped out on David’s 50th birthday party, with sources explaining that their absence came because Brooklyn did not approve of Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull. (Romeo and Turnbull split in June but have reportedly reconciled.)
A separate source told Us Weekly exclusively earlier this month that Brooklyn still has “no interest” in reconciling with his family.
“He’s really focused on living a peaceful, drama-free life with Nicola,” the insider explained. “They’ve built their own world together and are very content in it. They want to let things settle naturally rather than trying to fix something that still feels tense.”
The source told Us there is “still a huge rift” between Brooklyn, his parents and his brothers. “The relationships are all still strained,” the insider added.
According to the source, it was “heartbreaking” for the parents of four to “not have all their children together during huge press events for the family,” referring to the release of Victoria’s Netflix documentary on October 9.
“It was such a big moment for the family, and she wanted everyone together to celebrate it,” the insider added, noting that David “feels the same way” as his wife.

“He misses how close they all used to be,” the source continued. “David and Victoria have always been about family first, so seeing that distance, especially during milestones that mean so much to them, has been incredibly hard.”
Brooklyn previously broke his silence on the drama while attending the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star Match late last month.
“Everyone is always going to say rubbish,” Brooklyn told the Daily Mail at the time. “I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It’s good fun.”
