Prince Andrew allegedly brought up his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, when meeting late accuser Virginia Giuffre for the first time.
The Times published an excerpt from Giuffre’s memoir, Nobody’s Girl — set to be released posthumously on Tuesday, October 21 — that details the first time she allegedly crossed paths with Andrew in 2001.
Late billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly told Giuffre that she would be dining with Andrew that fateful evening.
“Maxwell woke me up that morning by announcing in a singsongy voice: ‘Get out of bed, sleepyhead!’” Giuffre wrote. “It was going to be ‘a special day.’”

Giuffre feeling “like Cinderella,” meeting a “handsome prince” in London, the excerpt reads.
Maxwell allegedly played “a game” regarding Giuffre’s age and Andrew “guessed correctly.” (Giuffre was 17 at the time of this alleged meeting.)
“My daughters are just a little younger than you,” Andrew apparently remarked, according to the excerpt.
Giuffre maintained her claim that she and Andrew slept together that night, writing that the disgraced royal family member was “particularly attentive to my feet, caressing my toes and licking my arches” during the alleged encounter.
“In the years since, I’ve thought a lot about how he behaved,” Giuffre wrote, per the excerpt. “He was friendly enough, but still entitled — as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright.”
Giuffre alleged that she was paid $15,000 by Epstein at the time. Us Weekly has reached out to a representative of Andrew for comment.
In 2019, Epstein was arrested on federal charges of sex trafficking minors in Florida and New York. He died by suicide at age 66 at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York following his arrest.
Maxwell, meanwhile, is currently incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas after being found guilty on child sex trafficking charges in 2021.
Giuffre went public in 2019 with allegations that Epstein and Maxwell set up her alleged sexual encounter with Andrew. During a bombshell interview with BBC’s Newsnight that same year, Andrew denied the claims saying that he had “no recollection of ever meeting this lady.”

There is a photo of Andrew and Giuffre together, which she wrote about in the book.
“My mom would never forgive me if I met someone as famous as Prince Andrew and didn’t pose for a picture. I ran to get a Kodak FunSaver from my room, then returned and handed it to Epstein,” Giuffre alleged, per The Times excerpt. “I remember the prince putting his arm around my waist as Maxwell grinned beside me. Epstein snapped the photo.”
During the same interview, Andrew addressed his friendship with Epstein, claiming that they severed contact in December 2010. (Resurfaced emails between Andrew and Epstein dated 2011 have since been released publicly.)
Following the interview, Andrew announced his decision to step down from his royal duties.
“It has become clear to me over the last few days that the circumstance relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work going on in the many organizations and charities that I am proud to support,” he shared in a November 2019 statement. “Therefore, I have asked Her Majesty if I may step back from public duties for the foreseeable future, and she has given her permission.”
Giuffre eventually sued Andrew for sexual abuse in 2021. They settled outside of court for an undisclosed sum. This past April, Giuffre died by suicide at age 41.
