So here we are in a government shutdown, three weeks into it. Still, the right and left can’t seem to come to an agreement to meet and resolve the issues.
I am so disappointed and literally frustrated at how our government is acting, just like a bunch of children fighting in a sandbox over toys (actually they are using us as pawns in this game.) However, this is not a game! It’s so “unAmerican.” I can’t believe that all of us are just sitting by and waiting for something good to come out of this.
There is nothing good to come out of this. Lost wages, lost jobs, higher prices, loss of economic stability, our competitive edge, and the list goes on. This is serious stuff.
Really, we need to think about what it means to be an American and living in the United States and what does that mean for all of us, not a selected few who are billionaires already and don’t even think about us on any day.
