Love on the Spectrum’s Abbey Romeo is giving fans a long-awaited update on her romance with David Isaacman.
“We have fun together and do things we both love like going to the Los Angeles Zoo and Griffith Observatory,” Romeo exclusively shared with Us Weekly after enjoying a family vacation at Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos. “We want to take our time getting married because I don’t want to be a divorced lady like my mom.”
Ever since Romeo and Isaacman were set up on a blind date on season 1 of the hit Netflix show Love on the Spectrum, fans have watched the pair show the world that people with autism can find, maintain, and just like neurotypical folks enjoy successful relationships.
Although Romeo has been with her boyfriend for more than three years, she is comfortable admitting that they are still pushing through ordinary relationship struggles.

“We are working on our communication skills because we have different kinds of autism,” she told Us. “I am a Gestalt learner and think in memories, and he is very patient with me, and we are still working hard on understanding each other.”
Even though season 3 of Love on the Spectrum concluded in April, both Romeo and Isaacman have continued to make happy memories together.
The pair recently attended cast member Subodh Garg’s graduation celebration.
“It was a huge event and David and I danced the night away,” she said of the festivities. “It was very romantic.”

Romeo also continues to receive positive messages from fans who resonate with her journey in finding everlasting love.
“Fans say that David and I inspire them and that we help them believe in love,” she recalled. “That is amazing. There was a time when I didn’t think I would ever be with someone and those days are over. I want everyone to find love.”
As Romeo continues to share her reality with fans via social media and TV, the Netflix star was able to enjoy some much deserved rest and relaxation with her mom and brother at Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos, following the resort’s third annual Beaches Autism Inclusion Week.
