The candidates for Bangor City Council and School Committee will weigh in on voters’ questions at a public forum Thursday evening.
School Committee candidates will speak at the forum from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., while City Council candidates will speak from 6:45 to 8 p.m.
You can watch the livestream of the forum here.
The event is hosted by the local League of Women Voters chapter in City Hall at 73 Harlow St.
City Council hopefuls taking the stage Thursday are part of Bangor’s largest candidate pool in the last six years. Of the nine people running, the three who voters choose on Election Day could play a role in setting a new tone for a body that has become increasingly chaotic in recent months.
The pool for Bangor’s School Committee is smaller, with four candidates running for two open seats.
The BDN has profiled all nine City Council candidates. You can read about them here and hear directly from them about how they’d solve Bangor’s biggest issues here.
