Quality leadership is the foundation of a healthy community. So, I am excited to support Benjamin Speed for the Bangor School Committee.
Having worked with Ben in our Unitarian Universalist congregational community for many years, I can attest to his exceptional leadership qualities. His dedication, integrity, and ability to listen to diverse perspectives make him a leader we can trust to be an excellent school board member.
He is very approachable and skilled at listening to people from diverse perspectives. He uses his communications professional skills to thoughtfully and effectively synthesize input from those around him and transform that input into clear, practical decisions.
Ben’s unwavering commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students and teachers is truly commendable. He understands the needs of our educators and is a strong advocate for providing the highest quality education, including the arts as a tool for self-expression and character building.
Ben’s understanding of the importance of providing extra support to students with learning differences is truly inspiring. His belief in the power of thoughtful interventions in high school to make lasting differences in their futures gives us hope for a more inclusive and supportive educational system.
