Alyssa Farah Griffin and husband Justin Griffin are expanding their family.
Alyssa, 36, showed off her growing baby bump during the Wednesday, October 8, episode of The View, while she and her cohosts reflected on some of their most embarrassing moments. Alyssa stated that she had more of a “viral moment,” referring to the September 2023 broadcast when Whoopi Goldberg asked, “Are you pregnant?” in the middle of a sentence.
While she wasn’t pregnant at the time, her answer was different during Wednesday’s show.
“So Whoopi, do you want to ask me again?” Alyssa said, rubbing her stomach. “Baby boy Griffin arrives this February. I’m so glad to not have to hide it anymore. I can breathe.”
Alyssa explained that she and Justin went through “five rounds” of IVF, so it took “about a year” for her to get pregnant.
“He’s here, he’s coming,” she said about the baby. “I’m so grateful to have the most supportive husband in the world, Justin.”

Alyssa said she’s “so excited” to be a mom, as her husband was passed a microphone in the audience.
“I’m great. I’m hanging in there. I couldn’t be happier,” he said. “This is a big moment for our family and growing family, I should say.”
The couple, who have been married since 2021, also spoke with People in an interview published on Wednesday about their pregnancy announcement.
“Baby Griffin is on the way and we’re just so excited — and terrified,” Alyssa said. “It’s starting to feel very real. This past week, I felt the baby kick for the first time, and immediately I grabbed Justin’s hand and he felt and I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, what’s happening?!’ It was magical.”
Alyssa explained that she was diagnosed with endometriosis while she and Justin started trying to expand their family, which “added to the complications.”
They tried to conceive naturally for two years before moving forward with IVF, which Alyssa said was an “emotional rollercoaster.”

“You do feel somewhat out of control with your own body,” she shared. “It’s hard to balance the hormones of it all, especially when you’re not getting the best news after a cycle. But Justin, he was never hard on me.”
Alyssa recalled getting emotional when she saw her positive pregnancy test.
“Both Justin and I just feel so grateful that we were in the position that we were even able to do that many rounds of IVF,” she added. “I consider it a miracle of science, and just such a wonderful thing that we’ve gotten to where we are now. So yeah, there [were] definitely some tears.”
Alyssa continued to praise her husband, calling him “the best partner in the world” during their People interview.
“They say, marry your best friend, and Justin is mine,” she gushed. “The View is hard work, and luckily I had the flexibility of the schedule to make early morning appointments in Midtown before racing to do the show. And my husband, he was there for me throughout it all, by my side at the doctor’s, right there with me.”
