A Maine taco food truck is moving indoors.
Salsa Shack will be moving into its first permanent indoor location at the old Friars’ Brewhouse Tap Room on Main Street in Bucksport, the owner announced Wednesday morning in a social media post.
“We will be offering all of our classics including Tacos (duh), burritos, quesadillas, bowls, and more! We will have a small dining space and offer speedy takeout!” the post reads.
An opening date has not been set.
The Friars’ Brewhouse Tap Room closed in November 2023 after the death of Brother Don. The friars opened the Bucksport location in 2018 after the closure of their popular downtown Bangor eatery.
Last year, the space welcomed a Sicilian-inspired eatery, My Buddy’s Place, which closed last month.
Salsa Shack, owned by Cory LaForge, opened in May 2023, and since then, it has been a fixture in Ellsworth, Orland and Bucksport.
This week also is Salsa Shack’s last week in Ellsworth for the summer 2025 season.
