Dancing With the Stars season 34 might be the show’s most explosive competition yet.
The second episode, which aired on Tuesday, September 23, featured a double elimination that even had the judges’ jaws dropping — and yes, all three were present this time around.
After a surprise absence from last week’s premiere, Carrie Ann Inaba returned to the ballroom, offering thanks to TikTok star Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy for performing an “incredible” routine to kick off One-Hit Wonder Night. Elsewhere in the evening, she continued to bring the energy behind the judges table, even comparing Olympian Jordan Chiles to Tina Turner on the dance floor.
Actress Elaine Hendrix and partner Alan Bersten had the crowd cheering (literally) with a routine set to “Hey Mickey” by Toni Basil, who even made an appearance during one of her rehearsal sessions.
Some dancers definitely proved that they’re putting in the work as the competition continues, but others missed the mark. Ultimately, Baron Davis and Britt Stewart were eliminated on Tuesday, along with Jenna Johnson and Corey Feldman.
Feldman told viewers that he felt “really terrible” for Johnson, whom he called a “queen” during his parting words. Davis, meanwhile, theorized that Stewart will be winning a DWTS mirrorball in the near future.
