A bakery in Old Town is closing immediately, it announced Monday.
MeMe G’s has been open since 2023 serving doughnuts, sandwiches and pizza four days a week in downtown Old Town.
The restaurant announced the closure Monday night on social media, saying owner Cory Thibodeau was closing shop to focus on spending time with his family.
“We’re at a point where we’re watching the time with our children slip away and we’re missing it. Not anymore. Our health and our family are more important than success and titles,” the post read.
The bakery is now for sale and “turnkey” ready for the next owner. If the business isn’t bought in whole, the owners said the equipment will be sold.
