3 New Peacock Movies With at Least 90 Percent on Rotten Tomatoes (September 2025)

Peacock, the streaming platform for NBCUniversal, has a lot of great features — but one of our favorites is the way it integrates Rotten Tomatoes scores when you’re browsing movie and TV options.

When something has a particularly high score, it pops right up, making it easy to figure out which movies are must-sees.

This month, Peacock has added a few great titles with killer ratings.

Check out the Watch With Us team’s picks — three movies ranked 90 percent or higher on Rotten Tomatoes that you can stream now.

‘Sicario’ (2015)

14 Must-Watch Thrillers on Netflix Right Now (August 2025)

This organized crime thriller follows Kate Macer (Emily Blunt), an FBI agent who joins a dangerous operation to take down a Mexican drug cartel. As layers of corruption are revealed, Kate must decide how far she’s willing to go for her mission.

Featuring Benicio del Toro, Daniel Kaluuya, Josh Brolin and more A-listers, Sicario is an intense, character-driven film that expertly balances tension and emotion. It’s no surprise that the movie holds a 92 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. With impressive action set pieces and standout performances — especially from Blunt — Sicario will linger long after the credits roll.

‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish’ (2022)

The first Puss in Boots solo movie was pretty good. But the second entry in the Shrek spinoff series is phenomenal. It follows the swashbuckling, leche-chugging feline (Antonio Banderas) as he realizes he has lost eight of his nine lives. Suddenly stalked by the terrifying specter of Death itself (Wagner Moura), Puss loses his nerve completely until he learns of a magical wishing star that could restore his immortality.

He’s forced to team up with old flame Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek Pinault) and a scruffy wannabe therapy dog (Harvey Guillén) to reach the star before the evil Jack Horner (John Mulaney) and the devious Goldilocks (Florence Pugh). This fairy tale-inspired romp is also a thoughtful story about embracing mortality and living life to the fullest — which is why it holds 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

‘The Commitments’ (1991)

This wildly underrated movie doesn’t star any big names, but it makes up for that in sheer energy. It follows a scrappy, working-class Irishman named Jimmy Rabbitte (Robert Arkins), who puts together a band of similarly scrappy Dubliners to sing covers of 1960s American soul music. While Dublin and soul tunes seem like an unlikely marriage, Jimmy’s passion and drive turn the band, which he names The Commitments, into a phenomenon.

Infighting and romantic entanglements lead to trouble, but the group manages to make some really great music along the way. Full of clever jokes, sharp physical comedy and stellar musical performances, The Commitments was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and holds a 90 percent Rotten Tomatoes score. (P.S.: If you’re a fan of Irish movies about musicians, keep an eye out for Once star Glen Hansard as one of the guitarists.)
