The Bachelorette’s Peter Kraus and his fiancé, Hana Ostapchuk, are ready to say “I do.’’
“I’ll say that it’s in my mom’s backyard. I think we both knew we wanted to do a little backyard wedding, something intimate,” Hana, 34, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while vacationing at Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. “I think when you have the luxury of getting married in your 20s, you sort of romanticize this huge thing. Now that we’re both a little bit older, we don’t need any of that stuff. We’re just gonna do a small wedding around the holidays in my mom’s backyard.”
When chatting with friends about wedding planning, Peter, 39, said he heard time and time again from his peers that they wish their special day was casual and easy.
Having a wedding ceremony in Florida where Hana’s mom lives is something Peter can’t help but be pumped about.

“Being at her mom’s house, which to me is like her favorite place on Earth, [is great],” he said. “To me, it’s my little sanctuary. When I get away from Wisconsin in the middle of winter, it just made sense.”
Fans met Peter when he competed for Rachel Lindsay’s heart on The Bachelorette in 2017. Although he didn’t get the final rose on ABC’s reality show, the founder of Peter Kraus Fitness worked on himself and never gave up on finding The One.
“It took a long time to realize that I was worth something more than what I was finding in the relationships I was in, and that finding more love for myself was more important than finding someone to love me,” he told Us. “Once I got to a point in my life where I actually didn’t need to date anymore to feel validation is when Hana came into my life. I was so confident and secure finally in who I was, that someone I was worthy of, walked into my life at that point, and that’s where Hana came in.”
On July 4, Peter and Hana announced in a joint Instagram post that they were engaged.
Two months after sharing the romantic proposal, the couple headed to Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for a romantic pre-wedding getaway.

“This is our first Sandals experience, and it’s wonderful,” Hana shared. “It’s really secluded and we’re surrounded by mountains, so I sort of feel like we’re in our own little bubble here, which we’ve been enjoying just taking a break from the world and clocking out.”
Peter added, “This place really is beautiful. … I can’t recommend it enough, so please put it out there. Go to Sandals.”

Pool Time
Peter and Hana took time to soak up the sun at the resort’s pools and beaches nearby. “There’s a couple different pools to choose from,” Hana said. “There’s activities going on every night [too].”
Perfect Days
The couple tried to take advantage of all the activities including kayaking, paddle boarding, scuba diving and snorkeling.
Rest and Relaxation
“There’s so many options of things you can do,” Hana told Us. “We did meet some friends here, and they told us that that [the couple’s message was] the best thing that they’ve done.”
Pickleball Ready
During their trip, Peter and Hana received a pickleball lesson from professionals Jack Munro and Sofia Sewing. “I would call myself a pro, I think,” Peter joked to Us. “I think I played pretty well.”
Breaking a Sweat
Just because they were on vacation didn’t mean Peter and Hana stopped their daily workouts at one of the resort’s fitness centers.
Home Away From Home
“We came in by boat, and as you come around this big cliff, the resort becomes visible, and you just see this vast valley between these two big mountains full of lush green palm trees,” Peter said when detailing his first impressions of the resort. “The building’s all white amongst the green so it just pops. It was absolutely beautiful.”
