A 58-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the April death of a Palermo man that was ruled a homicide.
Kirby Bradford of Liberty was charged Thursday with murder for the death of 56-year-old Robert Bruso of Palermo.
Bradford, who was being held at the Kennebec County Jail on unrelated charges, will make an initial court appearance at 1 p.m. in Waldo County Superior Court.
Bruso’s body was found on April 19 at around 10:30 a.m. outside at 128 Boots and Saddle Road in Palermo when state police arrived to conduct a welfare check. His death was considered suspicious, and on April 29 was ruled a homicide following an autopsy by the state medical examiner’s office.
His cause of death was not released.
At the time of Bruso’s death his golden retriever, Lenny, was missing. The animal still has not been found, but may be in the area of Route 3 near Boots and Saddle Road or Level Hill Road in Palermo.
