An arsonist set fire to a building on Indian Island early Wednesday morning.
The fire was discovered about 2 a.m. at the building on Wabanaki Way, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The Penobscot Nation is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whomever set fire to the Cultural Building, which Moss said Wednesday was significantly damaged in the blaze.
No one was hurt in the fire.
The fire marshal’s office has ruled the blaze arson.
The investigation is ongoing.
