An anonymous Democratic strategist is quoted in a recent Bangor Daily News article, calling Graham Platner an “albatross” on the Democratic Party in his campaign against Susan Collins. That was the last straw for me!
Graham has exploded onto the scene the way no other candidate has in years. I believe our country is on life support, and he’s a leading light in the attempt to save it before it’s too late.
Thanks to the media and to the Democrats’ handwringing, it seems they’re doing their best to sabotage the Platner campaign. Because of his popularity within the voting public, I think Graham was instrumental in pushing Janet Mills out of the race. I voted for her twice and haven’t been too disappointed in her time as governor. However, I wish she would put the people first and her personal pique aside and endorse Graham.
Democrats, stop whining and put everything you have behind Graham. Voters have recognized his value to Maine and enthusiastically support him; why can’t you? So he’s not perfect. Next to the Republicans in Washington, he looks to me like a choirboy!
