The Last Thing He Told Me stars Judy Greer and Angourie Rice have a couple of ideas for their characters after that shocking season 2 ending.

Season 2 of the series (based on Laura Dave’s novel The First Time I Saw Him), begins with a time-jump five years into the future when Hannah (Jennifer Garner) encounters Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) after he goes on the run. Hannah and stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) are then forced to navigate the fallout from Owen’s emergence while also digging into their past when faces like Quinn (Greer) appear.
In the end, the family is reunited and it is revealed that Quinn played a role in Bailey’s mother’s death. She is also ultimately taking over dad Frank (John Noble)’s office in the wake of his shocking death, before ominously teasing that she has a few loose ends to tie up — and seemingly setting the stage for another season. (Apple TV has yet to renew for season 3.)

“Quinn’s got quite a to do list,” Greer, 50, exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this year ahead of the finale, referring to her character. “I think if we were to get a season 3, I would like to see what she crosses off first. She is not, maybe going to forgive and forget as easily. But that was a fun development when I read that. I was like, ‘Oh, wow, she’s really gonna go for it here.’ I’m excited to see — I really hope I get to see — what’s next for Quinn, because I would believe anything at this point.”
Rice, meanwhile, hopes that Bailey might finally get some “stability” in her life after a tumultuous several years.
“She needs it! I think she’s done running,” Rice exclusively told Us with a laugh earlier this year of her character. “Yeah, I think Bailey has struggled because she hasn’t had a solid family unit. She’s had all these like moving pieces, people coming in, people leaving. Hannah for the last five years has been her constant. And with her dad leaving and maybe coming back, and the threat of leaving again. I just hope that she finds inner peace and external peace, as well.”
Greer, meanwhile, added that she has aspirations Bailey might find a “home.” Rice replied, “Maybe a home! A good family unit.”
