Kristin Cavallari just spilled some piping hot tea from her time on The Hills.
Cavallari joined the hit MTV reality show midway through its fifth season in 2009 after her former Laguna Beach costar Lauren Conrad exited the series. One of her memorable story lines was her romance with Brody Jenner, though the relationship between them was largely for the cameras.
Cavallari revealed to Conrad on the Tuesday, April 7, episode of her “Let’s Be Honest With Kristin Cavallari” podcast that while she was meant to be dating Jenner on screen, she was secretly seeing a member of The Hills’ production crew.
“Do you know that I hooked up with a cameraman on The Hills?” Cavallari, 39, confessed to Conrad.

“Nothing like a set romance!” she went on to quip.
Cavallari then revealed that the cameraman — named Miguel — was fired from the show after they were spotted in public.
“We, like, hung out for a couple of months,” Cavallari told Conrad. “We kept it a secret. I was ‘dating’ Brody on the show and so I was like, ‘We’re being professional.’ He came with me to Canada for the Much Music Awards, and at the airport on the way home, paparazzi got us a week before we wrapped [production on The Hills], and they fired him.”
Cavallari continued, “I remember I fought with [The Hills creator] Adam [DiVello]. I was like, ‘You guys would have never had any idea. We’ve been nothing but professional.’”

Conrad then noted that fellow Hills costar Whitney Port ended up marrying Tim Rosenman, a producer on her spinoff show, The City.
“How is that OK?” Cavallari quipped. “I’ve thought about that many of times!”
Conrad and Cavallari initially gained fame on MTV’s Laguna Beach, a precursor to The Hills, which aired from 2004 to 2006.
The pair recently reunited with Stephen Colletti and their other high school pals to film The Reunion: Laguna Beach, a retrospective special looking back at the show. Conrad and Cavallari were initially at odds on Laguna Beach because Cavallari was dating Colletti, whom Conrad was friends with and also had a crush on.

“I think we both said it [at the reunion that our regret] was the way we spoke about each other,” Conrad exclusively told Us Weekly recently in a joint interview with Cavallari. “We’ve obviously grown a lot since then, but we were pretty unkind about one another, and it isn’t how we treat each other now, or how we would treat other women now.”
“I just found myself to be pretty — not to take a word out of my kids playbook — but cringey. I found myself to be kind of cringey at times,” Cavallari told Us. “I really did not like the way that I spoke about Lauren in particular. I think if I could change one thing, it would just be how I spoke about her and I would enunciate a little bit more.”
The Reunion: Laguna Beach premieres on Roku Friday, April 10.
