Police were called to Ronnie Ortiz-Magro‘s home in Miami following an alleged dispute with his girlfriend, Kirsten.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, April 8, Kirsten called the cops on March 29 to request help retrieving her belongings from Ronnie’s house after their breakup. (The officer listed the call as a “domestic dispute.”)
Kirsten told authorities that she was with the reality star, 40, for “three years” and they were “living together as a family unit.” She claimed “infidelity issues” led to their split.
When police arrived at Ronnie’s home, they informed him that they were there to help make the move easier on both parties. Per the report, the pair agreed Kristen would return with a moving truck on April 1.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s Ups and Downs Through the Years
A rep for Ronnie addressed the call in a statement to TMZ, noting, “He was in the process of separating from his long term girlfriend, and it was at his request for her to call the police to ensure that the separation/moving out was peaceful, and because he’s been the recipient of falsehoods in the past, and is in a really good place and didn’t want there to be any unnecessary drama.”
Ronnie rose to stardom after appearing on MTV’s Jersey Shore, which aired from 2009 to 2012, and has since had several run-ins with the law.

After returning to MTV for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in 2018, Ronnie ultimately stepped away from filming in 2021 to focus on his mental health following an arrest for alleged domestic violence. At the time, he was ordered to take parenting classes and was placed under a three-year protective order. (He was previously arrested in 2019 and charged with felony domestic violence for a separate incident.)
Ortiz-Magro’s time on reality TV was made even more notable for his infamous relationship with Jersey Shore costar Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. After years of ups and downs, the pair split for good in 2014.
Jersey Shore’s Sammi and Ronnie’s Rocky Relationship: The Way They Were
Last year, Ronnie opened up about where he stands with Sammi, 39, after her engagement to Justin May. (The couple welcomed their first baby in August 2025.)
“I’m actually happy that me and Sam have grown so much and we have so much growth,” he exclusively shared with Us Weekly in September 2025. “Whatever animosity that was there or whatever bitterness is there is finally gone. We can coexist and we can work together.”
Ronnie added that he was happy to share the screen with Sammi on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
“We don’t have to be best friends, but as long as the respect is there that we have for each other, I think that’s the most [important],” he continued. “That’s the biggest thing is just showing respect for each other and where we both have come in our lives. And I think we both do a very good job of that.”
